In the ground: common yarrow (Achillea millefolium), an aster that is either frost aster (Symphyotrichum pilosum) or panicled aster (Symphyotrichum lanceolatum), Shasta daisy (Leucanthemum x superbum, hybrid), bugleweed (Ajuga reptans, non-native).
Next: confirm the aster ID this fall before pulling the ajuga. Then plant Pennsylvania sedge (Carex pensylvanica), creeping phlox (Phlox stolonifera), golden ragwort (Packera aurea), foamflower (Tiarella cordifolia) and wild geranium (Geranium maculatum).
